As an initial visit I had imaging done and met with Dr. Khurana‘s assistant, now on to MRI’s which will give Doctor Khurana my full picture when he meets me. So excited to be on my path of healing⭐️

10 years ago I began experiencing pain in my lower back. Consulting doctors gave different views as to the cause; back/ spine specialists said I suffered from spinal stenosis and hip replacement specialists indicated that a hip replacement would give me relief. Not eager to have surgery, I turned to yoga and riding my bike 3-4 days a week. This home remedy kept the worst of the pain from me. About a year ago, however, I began to realize that surgery was likely necessary as yoga and exercise were diminishing in their effectiveness. Again, I encountered competing surgical alternatives from physicians consulted. Dr. Khurana, however, simply told me I had two problems: a back / spine issue and a left hip issue. According to Dr. Khurana, my back / spine earned a grade of B-, neither excellent nor a disaster. Bone on bone my left hip, on the other hand, needed to be addressed if at 82 I wanted an active life without debilitating pain. Recently, pain had begun to dramatically impact the quality of my life. He provided the names of two hip replacement surgeons whose work he judged excellent and told me to return if, following hip replacement surgery, I continued to suffer pain. He said he would not operate on me and believed I could maintain the current level of back health and possibly improve it. I very much appreciated his straight-forward assessment and made an appointment with one of the surgeons recommended. I admit to being prepared to take his advice, whatever form it might take, since my brother-in-law and a friend had been patients of Dr. Khurana and were very satisfied with his care. We concluded our meeting with an interesting discussion of artificial intelligence much in the news today, AI interests me from the computer science point of view as my training is in mathematics and logic. Dr. Khurana enlarged my perspective drawing on his training in molecular and cellular biology as an undergraduate before earning a medical degree at Stanford. For informed, practical medical advice I strongly recommend you make an appointment with this good man.

I had back surgery on March 21st and didn’t realize how bad I was feeling until I wasn’t anymore! Dr Khourana asked me if I was comfortable with him making a decision during the surgery because he planned 3 procedures but only wanted to do 2 if possible. He believes in the less invasive procedure if possible. He’s the best and I trust him!! Well it worked! I’m walking straighter than I have in a long time. Thank you Dr. Khourana!

dr sanjay has a wealth of information. had a good experience with him and his team. I was told i would get a follow up call or email. I never got a follow up call or email with information regarding surgery options, etc.
